Great distressed, well-worn vintage condition w/ repairs. I hand patched the frayed knee hole from the interior but left the fraying outer for the look. Small home in the rear has been stitch mended. Someone also Sashiko embroidered a repair on the back waistband. Some work staining on legs. Interior brand tag is fraying & mostly unreadable. Small dickies tab under back belt loop is still there.
These have natural twisted legs seams & slightly in the waist seam which is natural for vintage left hand twill denim.
*similar to Levi’s 517 Bootcut Jeans
Why does vintage denim have twisted seams?
Vintage jeans often twist because of the way the denim fabric was a woven, specifically due to the “right hand twill” weave, which naturally causes the fabric to skew in one direction when washed and shrunk, resulting in a twisting leg appearance; this is a characteristic of older jeans that lack modern fabric finishing processes like sanforization (pre shrunk denim) that prevent twisting.
•Twisted seams is now often seen as a desirable feature of vintage denim and one vintage collectors look for.
