THE INSTANT HIT: BELL BOTTOMS
The Levi’s 646 Bell Bottom launched in 1969 as “the jeans with the famous fit,” made with pre-shrunk cotton and “styled long and lean with a flare for fashion.” Today, bell bottoms are back on our radar. They’re slim through the hip and thigh with a flared leg opening.
The orange Tab was added in the 1960s as a way of differentiating other, more experimental kinds of Levi's® clothing — such as bell-bottoms and boot cuts. Today, the Levi's® clothing with orange Tabs are considered collectibles!
